Faizan Ahmad is a visual artist, photojournalist, researcher and story-teller with a focus on humans voice based in Lahore, Pakistan. Available for commissions and exhibitions.
In a search of methods to read the city, he started talking to fellow passengers while going to college everyday. Later those conversations resulted in meaningful stories and he started taking the shots with his iphone. He has collected these stories and images over five years and now published a book named Lahore by Metro. The book has been praised by notable authors and photographers such as Mohammed Hanif, Reza Deghati from Nat Geo, Salima Hashmi, Ziauddin Yousafzai of Malala Fund, and some others.
Faizan is also contributor of Subway Book Review from Pakistan. Where he talks to people on the metro bus about their books and life.
His work has been published in The Guardian, BBC Urdu, Express Tribune, Daily Times, and The News etc. In last few years he has documented Theater life in Pakistan, Cities and Infrastructure, Transgender life and now working on a research based project. His work has been exhibited at Lahore University of Management and Sciences (LUMS) and metro station Lahore
